AWARD RUNNER-UP

Lexden Grange was runner up in the "Heritage" category for the Colchester 2020 and RIBA Architectural Awards.

From a total of forty submissions across six categories, Enterprise Heritage's conversion of the Grade II listed building was shortlisted for projects that achieve restoration of the town's historic fabric and give new life to old buildings. The judging criteria included: architectural quality; positive contribution to the surrounding area; functionality; accessibility; sustainability; and appropriate use of conservation techniques.

Enterprise Heritage has always been proud of its careful and sympathetic renovation and refurbishment of listed buildings and is delighted to have been placed for Lexden Grange, which it considers to be one of its best examples of this type of work.

The winners of the awards were announced at the Forum for the Built Environment Anglian Lecture, to be held at the Moot Hall in Colchester on Friday, 7 November.
